Richard Bourke is the professor of History of Political Thought at Queen Mary, University London, as well as a co-editor of the distinguished Cambridge University Press series Ideas in Context. His research focuses on enlightenment political ideas. Bourke is currently completing Empire and Revolution: The Political Life of Edmund Burke for Princeton University Press. In the lecture he will already share some of his new insights into the life and relevance of Edmund Burke.
