Dear members of the Huizinga Institute,
With the start of 2024 and the ReMA thematic course ‘History of Emotions’ starting this January in Nijmegen, we think it is a great opportunity to organise a social event for all ReMA and PhD members to (re)connect.
On the 13th of February, starting at 14.00 pm, you are welcome to visit De Bastei, a regional museum of natural and cultural history, located in an historical defence work in the city centre of Nijmegen. After a visit of the exhibitions, we will have a drink at the café at the top of the museum, with a superb view of Nijmegen and the Waal river. Your museum entrance ticket will be reimbursed and drinks are offered by the Huizinga Institute. The museum café is open until 16.30, but for those not willing to say goodbye yet, there’s a lot of pleasant cafés and restaurants nearby!
Please register for the event at huizinga@uu.nl. It is of course possible to join a little later. You will, however, need an entrance ticket to visit the museum café.
