Voor het Vidi-project Discovering Europe in the Early Modern Period: How Literary Bestsellers Shaped a Diverse Community, 1517-1713 zoek ik, Lieke Stelling, een student-assistent die mijzelf en de project-PhD Francesca Barbera Kipreos kan meehelpen bij de volgende activiteiten:
- het maken van een eenvoudige database van primaire bronnen voor op de project-website
- initiële praktische voorbereidingen voor een internationale workshop rond het projectthema dat eind 2026/ begin 2027 zal plaatsvinden (denk aan reis en verblijf regelen van gastsprekers, regelen van zalen en contact houden met locatie, bijhouden van planning en budget)
- initiële praktische voorbereidingen voor de UUCEMS publieksmiddag over het thema Europa, die in oktober 2026 zal plaatsvinden (denk aan regelen van locatie, bijhouden van budget)
- het maken van een online tentoonstelling over vroegmodern Europa als literaire ruimte
Heb je organisatorische en digitale vaardigheden, affiniteit met het onderwerp van dit onderzoeksproject en zou je graag tijdelijk onderdeel van het team willen zijn?

Je wordt aangesteld op basis van een kortlopend contract van 0,1 fte (4 uur per week) als student assistent (Schaal 4 van de Collectieve Arbeidsovereenkomst Nederlandse Universiteiten) vanaf 1 december 2025 tot en met juni 2026 (7 maanden)

For the Vidi project Discovering Europe in the Early Modern Period: How Literary Bestsellers Shaped a Diverse Community, 1517-1713, I, Lieke Stelling, am looking for a student assistant to assist myself and project PhD Francesca Barbera Kipreos with the following activities:
- creating a simple database of primary sources for the project website
- initial practical preparations for an international workshop on the project theme to be held at the end of 2026 / beginning of 2027 (e.g. arranging travel and accommodation for guest speakers, arranging rooms and liaising with the venue, keeping track of planning and budget
- initial practical preparations for the UUCEMS public afternoon on the theme of Europe, which will take place in October 2026 (e.g. arranging the venue, keeping track of the budget)
- creating an online exhibition on early modern Europe as a literary space
Do you have organizational and digital skills, an affinity with the subject of the project, and would you like to be part of the team on a temporary basis?

You will be hired on a short-term contract of 0,1 fte (4 hours a week) as student assistant (Scale 4 of Collective Labour Agreement Dutch Universities) from 1 December 2025 until the end of June 2026 (7 months).
