The Huizinga Research Network Theory of History is organizing a workshop for all teachers of theory of history, historiography and philosophy of the humanities at universities in the Netherlands and Flanders.
About the workshop
This workshop offers a platform for teachers to exchange experiences about our teaching and learn from each other to strengthen the field. We focus on some core questions of our work:
- What exactly do we teach and in what way?
- Which didactic approaches prove successful?
- What challenges do we encounter?
We will discuss concrete curricula, teaching methods and pedagogical approaches, but also make room for broader questions about the place and future of theory of history in university education. The workshop will take the form of an informal working session in Dutch with ample opportunity for discussion and exchange.
